ATLANTA, Ga. (March 25, 2014) – The Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC), the licensing affiliate of IMG College, announced today that it has extended its partnership agreement with Villanova University to continue managing its trademark licensing program.
Villanova and CLC, who have partnered together since 1994, have signed a 10-year agreement that will run through 2024. The partnership will give Villanova continued access to CLC’s leading brand protection, brand management and brand development services through a comprehensive trademark licensing program customized by CLC. In addition, Villanova will continue to benefit from CLC’s proven licensing services, which allow it to contract with best-in-class licensees that will advance its goals and marketplace position.
CLC, the oldest and largest collegiate licensing agency in the United States, currently represents over 200 colleges, universities, bowl games, and athletic conferences in the $4.62 billion retail market for collegiate products.

Over the past 19 years, CLC has worked closely with Villanova to expand its retail presence in the marketplace and increase merchandise sales by leveraging national and regional marketing and licensing programs, including College Vault, a vintage inspired collection of products. Additionally, CLC has worked with licensees and retailers, including Peter Millar, Columbia Sportswear, and Old Navy, to increase product selection and retail distribution of Villanova merchandise. CLC has also helped Villanova capitalize on its participation in multiple NCAA basketball tournaments, including its 2009 Final Four run, among other post-season athletic events.
