ATLANTA, Ga., (August 23, 2013) – As it celebrates the kickoff of the 2013 college football season, Collegiate Licensing Company, LLC (CLC), an affiliate of IMG College, today announced it has renewed exclusive trademark licensing agency agreements with 11 partner institutions including Arkansas, Arkansas State, Central Washington, Cincinnati, Middle Tennessee State, Minnesota, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Pepperdine, Texas Tech, and Washington State.

“Our devoted staff of licensing professionals is dedicated to assisting our partner institutions in expanding their brand protection, brand management, and brand development initiatives, which is the key to CLC’s continued success,” said Cory Moss, Sr. VP and Managing Director of CLC. “We look forward to continuing to provide the best possible services by being at the forefront of every major opportunity in the collegiate market.”

CLC currently provides industry-leading services to its nearly 200 partner institutions nationwide through a comprehensive trademark licensing program customized by CLC. CLC institutions also benefit from CLC’s proven licensing services, which afford its partners the opportunity to contract with best-in-class licensees that advance its goals and marketplace position.

“Throughout our partnership with CLC, the Arkansas licensing program has experienced tremendous growth in the sale of licensed merchandise, with gross royalties nearly doubling in the last three years alone,” said Brian Pracht, Associate Athletic Director for Marketing, University of Arkansas. “We value CLC’s knowledge and experience in the collegiate licensing industry, which will help us further develop our program into the future.”

“CLC has helped our institution to achieve goals we could have never reached alone,” said David Lindquist, Licensing Director, University of Minnesota. “We are grateful for CLC’s support as we continue to grow the Minnesota licensing program and serve our fan base.”

The retail market for collegiate licensed merchandise was estimated at $4.62 billion in 2012. CLC partner institutions represent nearly 80% of those sales. Royalties from the sale of licensed merchandise go back to the schools to fund scholarships and other valuable programs on campus. CLC, an affiliate of IMG College, has been the undisputed leader in the collegiate licensing industry since its inception in 1981.
