Gonzaga University Extends Licensing Partnership with the Collegiate Licensing Company

GONZAGA UNIVERSITY EXTENDS LICENSING PARTNERSHIP WITH
THE COLLEGIATE LICENSING COMPANY
 
ATLANTA, GA (August 1, 2016) – The Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC), the licensing affiliate of IMG College, announced today that it has extended its partnership agreement with Gonzaga University to continue managing its trademark licensing program.
 
Gonzaga and CLC, who have partnered since 1998, have signed an eight-year agreement that will run through 2024. The partnership will give Gonzaga continued access to CLC’s leading brand protection, brand management and brand development services through a comprehensive trademark licensing program customized by CLC. In addition, Gonzaga will continue to benefit from CLC’s marketing and licensing strategies, as well as partnerships with best-in-class licensees that will advance the University’s goals and marketplace position.

The Gonzaga licensing program is coming off a record-setting 2015-16 fiscal year that saw total royalties grow 25% over the previous year. In addition, CLC has been able to increase retail distribution and product selection of Gonzaga merchandise by securing a presence for the University in key retailers such as Costco and Fanatics.

CLC, the oldest and largest collegiate licensing agency in the United States, currently represents over 200 colleges, universities, bowl games, and athletic conferences in the $4.55 billion retail market for collegiate products.
