ATLANTA, Ga. (June 15, 2015) –The Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC), the licensing affiliate of IMG College, has been selected as the exclusive trademark licensing representative for Michigan State University, it was announced today.
Michigan State was previously one of the nation’s largest remaining independent licensing programs. The perennial Power 5 contender in football and basketball, which has more than 530,000 alumni in the U.S., selected CLC for its ability to grow a large licensing program with incredible potential.

CLC’s brand management strategy for Michigan State will focus on ensuring long-term value through partnerships with best-in-class licensees; utilizing CLC’s exclusive retail intelligence and extensive consumer insights to expand the presence of the school’s merchandise at retail; reaching consumers through mobile marketing platforms; and building the brand through CLC’s local, regional, and national marketing programs.
CLC represents nearly 200 collegiate institutions nationwide, and has signed more than 25 new school deals thus far in 2015.
