Collegiate Licensing Company Extends Partnership with Oklahoma State University

ATLANTA, GA (July 22, 2015) – The Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC), the licensing affiliate of IMG College, today announced a five-year extension of its global partnership with Oklahoma State University (OSU) to continue managing the school’s successful trademark licensing program. CLC began partnering with OSU in 1982.
 
“After carefully evaluating the University’s options, we felt CLC offers the expertise, resources, and record of success with top collegiate institutions that OSU needs to continue to grow our brand and meet the needs of our fans,” said Kyle Wray, the University’s Vice President for Enrollment Management and Marketing.  “We look forward to continuing to leverage CLC’s market leadership to increase sales and exposure of OSU merchandise.”

Officially-licensed product for Oklahoma State is now sold at more than 3,200 retail accounts. OSU has achieved greater in-store distribution by participating in CLC’s exclusive national retail marketing platforms, including College Colors Day, Rock Your Colors, and Holiday Cheer Section.
 
“CLC’s exclusive national marketing platforms give retailers meaningful programs to promote the Oklahoma State brand. At the same time, CLC has helped OSU secure incremental shelf space for our licensed merchandise,” said Kurtis Mason, the University’s Director of Licensing.
 
Revenue from the sale of Oklahoma State licensed products supports both academics, through scholarships, and athletics.
 
CLC, the leading collegiate licensing agency in the U.S., and a division of global sports and entertainment company IMG, signed or extended its licensing agreements with more than 50 partner institutions in 2014. CLC currently represents nearly 200 collegiate institutions, including 30 bowl games, the NCAA and the College Football Playoff.
