ECU Athletics and CLC Collaborate to Bring New Powder Purple Merchandise Collection to Market

The new collection featuring baseball inspired styles will be focus of pop-up shop at April 14 game.

GREENVILLE, N.C. and ATLANTA (April 8, 2026) – East Carolina University Athletics, in conjunction with its trademark licensing partner, CLC, is bringing the “powder” to the people with the launch of the Powder Purple Collection, a new merchandise assortment inspired by the iconic powder purple jerseys worn by the ECU baseball team.

The collection features popular apparel styles and non-apparel fan gear from some of ECU’s top licensees, including Champion, Homefield, Image One, Johnnie-O, Logo Brands, No Rivals, TCA and WinCraft.

Fans can find the Powder Purple Collection and new baseball merchandise at a dedicated pop-up retail experience at Clark-LeClair Stadium on Tuesday, April 14, when the Pirates take on NC State. The pop-up will also include the LidsU patch bar experience for fans to customize their hats with unique baseball and Powder Purple patches that will only be available during the event.

“The Powder Purple Collection lets our fans support the team while joining in the fun of wearing this special team color,” said Melissa Spain, trademark licensing coordinator of East Carolina University. “We are excited to work with CLC and licensed partners on this new collection to help elevate baseball-inspired designs as a universal fashion option for all fans.”

The Powder Purple Collection is available now at Dowdy Student Stores, University Book Exchange (UBE), Academy Sports + Outdoors, Dicks Sporting Goods, and Fanatics’ shop.ecupirates.com.
