PASADENA, Calif. and ATLANTA (December 28, 2023) – As the Alabama Crimson Tide and Michigan Wolverines prepare to meet on January 1, 2024, in the Playoff Semifinal at the Rose Bowl Game® presented by Prudential, CLC is taking the necessary measures to address potential counterfeit and unlicensed merchandise in the Pasadena area in order to protect visitors and fans.
CLC, the exclusive licensing agent for the Tournament of Roses®, the College Football Playoff (CFP) and both Alabama and Michigan will work closely with investigators and event officials to patrol the areas around the Rose Parade®, Rose Bowl Stadium and the local marketplace in search of counterfeiters selling “knock-off” merchandise. All counterfeit merchandise is subject to surrender per state and federal laws.
As counterfeiters look to capitalize on the excitement and pageantry surrounding America’s New Year Celebration® and the 110th edition of the Granddaddy of Them All®, fans should follow these tips to ensure they are buying officially licensed Rose Parade and Rose Bowl merchandise:
Royalties generated from the sale of officially licensed Rose Parade, Rose Bowl Game, and College Football Playoff merchandise go to support the Tournament of Roses and the College Football Playoff Foundation’s community engagement initiative, Extra Yard for Teachers. Extra Yard for Teachers is dedicated to honoring and supporting educators nationally and in the communities that host the College Football Playoff National Championship.
