Clemson and Perception Kayaks Partner on a Commemorative National Champions Kayak

Atlanta, Ga (August 8, 2019) – In an effort to continue the momentum from capturing the 2018 football national champions title, Clemson University and South Carolina-based Perception Kayaks collaborated to produce a special-edition, officially-licensed kayak that commemorates the title and lets Tiger fans show their spirit as they enjoy the outdoors.

With hundreds of square miles of lakes and waterways in the Clemson area, many students, alumni, and supporters participate in watersports and enjoy an outdoor lifestyle. The new Clemson-branded kayak provides a great way for fans to show their Tiger spirit while on the water.

Located less than 40 miles from campus in Greenville, Perception Kayaks employs many Clemson alumni and supporters, making this project a labor of love for the company. In collaboration with Clemson Athletics and licensed through CLC, the Clemson Tribe 9.5 kayaks are designed, molded and hand-assembled by Tiger fans for Tiger fans.

 “Clemson and Perception have long been tied because of their geographic location and the founder of Perception was a Clemson graduate,” said Todd King, Vice President of Marketing for Confluence Outdoors, the company responsible for production of the kayaks. “We are proud to partner with Clemson on this endeavor and hope fans will enjoy the National Champions commemorative kayak.”
